London Drugs, 2022 to 2025

I joined London Drugs in October 2022 as a tech specialist and was promoted to assistant manager of the tech department within months. In 2024 I moved into tech merchandising, a role I loved, and I stayed with the company until November 2025.

Canadian Red Cross, since 2025

Since February 2025 I’ve been a coordinator with the Canadian Red Cross Health Equipment Loan Program, which lends health equipment on a short-term basis. I work with the bigger items, like beds, ceiling poles and wheelchair cushions.

Why I started Spending Mindfully

Growing up, and for most of my adult life, money was my biggest battle. I knew the pattern well: the quick good feeling of buying something, then the moment I realized I needed that money for something far more important.

Once I took control of my money, one thought kept coming back: I couldn’t be the only one going through this. So on January 2, 2025, I started Spending Mindfully, a private Facebook group where Canadians help each other be more mindful about spending. Its public description names what it is for:

New and creative ways to save money
Cutting the grocery budget
Planning ahead for school breaks
Meal prep and freezer meals
Finding “extra” money

It covers every kind of spending, so it is not a buy-Canadian-only group. It has more than 1,300 members as of September 2026, and a team of volunteer moderators helps me keep it kind, free of promotions and private: what’s shared in the group stays in the group.

Stay Sit Snuggle, because I love animals

Stay Sit Snuggle is my in-home pet and house sitting business on Vancouver Island and in Vancouver and Edmonton. In my own words, from its Facebook page:

“I pet sit in your home to maintain the same routine with your fur babies. Less stress for them means less stress for you.”

Summer 2026 was my busiest in years, with a record eight new clients, and I’m now booking into 2027.
